Welsh Disabled Golf Association Race to Wales Event 1......GreenMeadows Golf Club.

First event on this year, few new members there, really lovely course and some lovely holes, and great weather as well for the day. I played ok, not my best but starting to trust myself and my game again and having more fun on the course. I ended up coming 3rd with 32 stableford points. Play the course again soon with Brynmeadows Junior First team. Looking forward to the next one now at Alice Springs.

Principality Junior Wales Open Qualifiers.

The Celtic Manor Roman Road qualifiers were a week ago. I was really looking forward to them but unbelievably I got ill again the same as last year. I still went and gave it my best but had to pull out mid round as I was too unwell to continue playing.

National Inclusive futures Camp.

Not exactly golf but too awesome not to include. I am an ambassador and mentor for Swansea Inclusive Futures and 15 of us were invited to the National Inclusive Futures camp. What an absolutely fantastic, extraordinary weekend I had at the National IF Camp, I dont know where to start, i'll start by saying thank you to all the cities involved, not just because of the involvement, but also the respect and friendship they made with each other, for the first time, in a long time, I felt I was a part of something, always being involved with everyone, having laughs and smiles, feeling like I'm actually 'there', I absolutely loved seeing the progress we made especially in the group I was in, on the Friday, no one was talking, barely any confidence, but by Sunday, we all learnt valuable skills, confidence, respect, and most importantly, inclusion, on the Sunday, the last few hours we had left, because of how touched I was, I started crying, in the corner away from the others, then my team leaders came over to ask if im okay, explained to them that I was and I was just amazed and happy, by the end, pretty must most of the group ended up in tears, realizing we made a bond, a friendship, all over 2 and a 1/2 days, I can't express how happy I was over this past weekend at everyone I met, such amazing people, I loved seeing the smiles on everybody's faces... Key word there, everybody, there was full inclusion, whether your disabled or non disabled, there was full inclusion, like I said, I simply cannot express the sheer happiness I had over the weekend, and I sure hope there will be more!

Coaching and Ping Experience Day.

In March I went to see my coach Craig for a lesson, we worked mainly on my short game. Then we traveled on to stay over  night near Gainsborough. The following day was the Ping Experience Day. Thanks to my coach, Craig Thomas for inviting me, and also to Ping themselves, very friendly staff, got fitted in the fitting center, came away with a new 5 wood being ordered :) also in the fitting center was 1 of the 2 gold plated putters, which is a replica of Bubba Watson's putter that he used in 2012 to win the Masters, the fitting center and the factory tour was all amazing, as for the golf course, really well kept, I got to explore more than I wanted ;) But it was an amazing day, I highly recommend doing it!

Celtic Manor Junior Open

I started this years season earlier than usual with the Celtic Manor Junior Open. They agreed to use the R&A rule for disabled golfers. We played on the Roman Road. I didn't score brilliantly but it was good to get back into competitive golf. I didn't place but enjoyed the day.
